Just a quick note. We got here safely and are having a wonderful time! We will have regular internet access on Wednesday so I will be posting some pictures then. On Saturday we went to the base and accompanied Mom and Dad on some hard core gadget and grocery shopping. We managed to stay awake until about 10pm on Saturday after being up since 7am on Friday morning which helped us so much in adjusting to the time difference.
Yesterday we got adventurous and went to downtown London. On a whim we checked the Blue Man Group ticket office to see if they had tickets to the matinee and they did! What a great show that was! Last night we played 2 games of Chicago Rummy while Dad drank half a bottle of Bailey's. Jeff won both games - what a weiner.
We have had a really good couple of days and are looking forward to the rest of this week and the cruise next week. My stomach was hurting so badly before we left and it is feeling absolutely fine right now - what a great thing some stress relief can do for a frazzled body.
This morning we walked up to the Ruislip Lido (2.5 miles), ran 3 miles around a gorgeous lake with lots of pretty birds and walked back to the house for another 2.5 miles or so - my GPS said we did a total of 8.71 miles. I think we are all a little sore right now but what a beautiful morning. The Lido was absolutely breathtaking - the perfect place to run. The weather is awesome also - it has been sunny and about 78 degrees since we've been here. Couldn't be better.
Overall things are great and I can't wait to share some pictures. I am so thankful for Mom and Dad for being so wonderful and for all of the great fun that we have together. We are so lucky! More later....
