On the 2nd day of our cruise we took an excursion called The Best of the French Riviera. This took us to Cannes, France where the famous film festival is held. We walked a little ways on the beach there and saw a man doing a sand sculpture - very neat. We stood on the steps where the red carpet is rolled out during the film festival and saw the handprints of many celebrities. Jeff also poked his head into a casino there. From Cannes, we travelled to a perfume factory where we took a tour and smelled bunches of beautiful scents and found my favorite perfume that Mom and Dad had gotten for me 6 years ago. We had an icky lunch at a French restaurant named "The Grill" - a salad with tuna and anchovy and chicken leg with potatoes (not my favorite meal). Finally we visited the little village of St. Paul de Vince which is a tiny place with narrow cobblestone streets and little shops everywhere...it was so neat and beautiful. I also had my first gelato of the trip - yum yum. The last couple of pictures were of the little black pugdog that we followed around - I was meant to take him home but it was a no-no on the cruise ship.
