Our first port on our cruise was Marseilles, France which is the 2nd largest city in France (behind Paris). It is a gorgeous city on the water. We didn't take a shore excursion this day but ended up taking a bus from the ship to the city center. We walked around and saw absolutely beautiful buildings - very colorful and beautiful. We found a pharmacy that had my stomach medicine over the counter - what a relief. This was the type of city that you would want to sit by the water and have a glass of wine or coffee and just people watch. Absolutely breathtaking.
