Adoption Forecast - October

Referrals this month covered the period from February 9-15, 2006. This was 6 days of LIDs and is right in line with the average. According to http://www.chinaadoptionforecast.com/, our new estimated date of referral is June 26, 2010. This only puts us 5 days behind last month's forecast...not so bad I suppose. • The average number of days referred each month is now 6.1. This month's progress was exactly average.
• There are now 119 days of LIDs ahead of ours (June 14, 2006).
• 119 days of LIDs/6.1 LID days per month = 19.5 more months of waiting

And now to reveal the identity of the objects in my last post....

They are just colored glass marbles that I bought at the new Garden Ridge down the street. It is not that the little colorful delights are anything special in and of themselves...it's what they represent that is special. This little container sitting on our dining room table holds 119 very pretty, candy-looking marbles. One for each day of LIDs ahead of us. Every month when referrals come out, I will ceremoniously remove the number of marbles that corresponds with the number of LID days referred until there are none left and we are holding a picture of our little one.

It really doesn't look like all that many, does it?
