Gimme your blood

Today in the new life of me, I learned how to draw blood. Did you know that when people are taught to take blood, they learn on this fake arm that has fake veins with fake blood running through it? In our fake arm, there had been so many holes poked in it that the arm was actually bleeding on it's own...scary. Anyway...in my quest for health care greatness, I now know how to draw blood with a vaccutainer prep, syringe and a butterfly needle. Are you impressed or what? I want you to think though, that the next time you have bloodwork drawn, your phlebotomist might have just learned on a fake arm and you might be their first real practice. Ouchee. I pity the fool who has to be my first subject.
