The next batch of babies from China have been referred to waiting families - so there are lots of happies mommies and daddies out there today. This batch covered log in dates from Sept. 28, 2005 to Oct. 13, 2005. Remember we are log in date (LID) June 14, 2006 so we still have a long way to go before we see our baby's beautiful face. In fact, the China Adoption Forecast website still says we are on track for a referral on/around May 8, 2008.
BUT...one big hurdle we must overcome before we are even in the matching room is to clear the review room where our dossier will be scrutinized and possibly questioned before we are given the final approval to adopt. Along with referrals, the CCAA updated the Review Room processing date to reflect that those families with LID up to March 22, 2006 are now cleared through the review process. Generally there are 2 months worth of LIDs in the Review Room at a time which would mean that April and May are in there now... it still may be a couple of months before they are cleared. That means we might be up next. I am really anxious to clear the Review Room. As soon as that happens, the real baby planning will begin...the room will be cleared for the nursery, we may just make a real decision on her name, a little bit of shopping may take place...I just can't wait!! Please keep your fingers crossed that April and May will make it through quickly and the official(s) that reviews our dossier agress that we will be splendid parents!
