Who do women play softball?

Jeff is sitting here watching the World Series of women's college softball and I am wondering why it is that women don't play baseball?? Why do they only play softball? And why do men not play softball?? I asked Jeff and he said that it must have something to do with hand-eye coordination. He can bite me for that one.
