Today is the Chinese Moon Festival (or Mid-Autumn Festival) - read more about it here .
The Chinese celebrate this day by watching the moon and eating mooncakes. I have heard that they aren't very yummy so if you choose to celebrate this day...go gaze at the moon and eat yourself a MoonPie...while you're at it think about our sweet baby girl a world away who may be staring at the same moon.
And if that isn't enough...today is Dad's birthday. Happy Birthday Dad!!!
